COURSE OVERVIEW

On this course you will learn the basic skills in professional makeup artistry.
COURSE STRUCTURE
​
HOME STUDY
​
8 hours guided learning required to be completed before the training day (emailed to you). This acts as pre- study for an intensive one-day practical study of the routine in class.
​
DURATION
​
Day Practical in the Classroom, 9.30 –4.30, followed by 10 case studies. We will provide you with a model for the practical and assessment.
Everything you need to learn this treatment is included in this course and will receive a course manual.

Please dress in salon wear to meet with health and safety legislation or wear all black if you don’t have a tunic.

COURSE CONTENT

Our Make-Up Foundation Course includes intensive, hands-on, makeup training, providing basic training in professional makeup skills and artistry. This course also provides training in professional makeup skills covering; Day, Evening and Special Occasion looks, leading to industry recognised qualifications. The course is balanced between home pre-study learning and in classroom demonstrations and hands-on practical lessons

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE TRAINING COURSE?

Following on from the 1 days of intensive training, students will complete an at home study program using the course notes provided and complete a training portfolio of evidence including practical case studies, plus approximately 10 make-up looks to complete on family and friends.
On completion of the programme, you will receive an industry recognised qualification.

You will receive a basic brush set in your kit if you have your own professional make-up brushes please bring with you.

PLEASE NOTE:
You will be required to bring a digital photographic device(phone/camera) to keep a record of your work. Please backup your photographs regularly during the course.
All students will be working on each other. If you have problematic skin, or cannot be worked on for any other reason, you will be required to bring in a model to replace yourself.
